Descrizione
Organized by the AIMETA Group of Biomechanics (GBMA), this mini-symposium aims to gather recent advances in biomechanics and mechanobiology, highlighting the key role of theoretical and applied mechanics in understanding biological systems in health and disease, with particular emphasis on clinically oriented applications. Contributions are welcome on the mechanical behavior of living matter across scales, from cells and tissues to organs, as well as on mechanobiological couplings between mechanical stimuli and biochemical processes. The mini-symposium encourages methodological developments in experimental techniques, modeling strategies, and computational mechanics, including multiscale and multiphysics approaches, fluid–structure interaction, and coupled transport phenomena. Applications may span cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and other biological systems, as well as the design and assessment of medical devices and technologies supporting diagnosis, treatment planning, and rehabilitation.
